The Sassy Pony is version two of one of our earliest tutorials, and Sara's favorite makes. The project captures a pony's gesture and character in simple steps. The Sassy Pony Supply Pack has all the necessary fibers and wires to complete the Sarafina Sassy Pony Tutorial which you will find for free on YouTube and linked below.
Makes one Pony which will be approximately 6" at the withers and body 6" long. 9" nose to butt.
Supply Pack includes:
Armature Wires Core wool for wrapping and shapes Top Coat Accent colors for details Sarafina FUR for mane and tail
This Supply Pack is a LEVEL 3.
We have rated each of our Supply Packs according to our Needle Felting Rating Scale. This scale will help you determine if a project is within your range, assuming you have not felted before or have worked with mainly Sarafina® tutorials and methods. You can see a breakdown of the scale as the last image in the item photos.
Note: If you are just getting started you will also need a felting surface and needles. Please see our Tools and Hardware section.

Best idea ever!
I purchased this Sassy Pony supply pack because I couldn’t find a finished pony that i wanted to purchase online. Never felted before, but have watched lots of videos and wanted to give it a try. I would highly recommend this kit and accompanying video. I did have to improvise because I didn’t have Sara’s helpful original tools. It would be helpful to show alternative methods without the tools, but it didn’t hinder the overall results. The pony came out adorable. I wouldn’t recommend a non crafty person to go straight for a level 3, but I found it to be just the right level of challenge without too much stressing. You will need to use photos to sculpt the details but that’s really the most fun! Just trust the process, follow the video and voila! Great techniques!
