I have a lot of requests to explain how I form tiny fingers and toes on
my sculptures. I wrap very small amounts of wool around very small
wire...
....
then, because it is too thin to needle felt, I dab the toes with melted
bees wax and twist the wool tight like an old-timey mustache. It is an
excellent solution and keeps your needle felting project all natural.
The
white wax is 2 oz in pellet form. It is clear when heated and will
retain the colors of your light wool color choices. The black is a warm
brown black for use on your darker colored tiny fingers, hooves, or
noses. It is .80 oz in a patty form (pictures coming soon.). These
amounts will last you a long time.
NOTE: Wax may melt in transit during summer months. No big deal but it may be in blob form when you get it.
See how we make our tiny toes...
