Sarafina Blanket: Poppies

Sara's blankets have been evolving here behind the scenes for almost 2 years.  I will be offering a handful of prototypes on this site before they are launched on their own special website.  Each blanket is handmade and no two are alike.  They are perfectly imperfect and made to highlight the beautiful sari designs and luxurious silk and nature of natural fibers.  

Poppies is an 84"x48" throw made with repurposed sari silk and Extrafine Merino from Italy, and hand stitched silk and wool edges.     Super bold and full of life, this throw has hand-dyed and hand-spun thick and thin yarn with color changes to match the vibrant sari silk used on shell pink wool backing.
