Sarafina Blanket: Brindle

Sara's blankets have been evolving here behind the scenes for almost 2 years.  I will be offering a handful of prototypes on this site before they are launched on their own special website.  Each blanket is handmade and no two are alike.  They are perfectly imperfect and made to highlight the beautiful sari designs and luxurious silk and the nature of natural fibers.  

Brindle is an 80"x 42" throw made with repurposed sari silk and Extrafine Merino from Italy, and hand stitched silk and wool edges.   Think and Thin Hand-spun yarn accents the natural soft colors of this throw with an earthy taupe backing.
